Health
At DPCCT, we understand that true well-being comes from a balance of mind, body, and spirit. That’s why we promote
yoga and meditation as simple yet powerful ways to stay healthy, focused, and calm in everyday life. These practices are also
an important part of life at our Gurukuls, where students follow yoga and meditation as daily activities, learning healthy habits and
mindfulness from an early age. Beyond the schools, we bring these practices to the wide community through workshops, training
sessions, and group programs, helping people of all ages connect with themselves, nurture self-care, and find inner peace.

Our Projects
Traditional Medicine
Traditional
Medicine
Arunachal Pradesh is blessed with an abundance of medicinal plants, and for centuries, its indigenous communities have turned to these natural remedies for healing and strength. This wisdom, passed down through generations, remains a vital part of their way of life. At DPCCT, we believe such knowledge should not fade away. That’s why we encourage and promote the use of traditional medicines, reminding people of the value hidden in the forests around them. In our Gurukuls too, children learn about herbal remedies through lessons and nature excursions, giving them a chance to connect with their roots while discovering how these age-old practices can still nurture health in today’s world.

Curative Care
In the far-flung villages of Arunachal Pradesh, visiting a doctor is not always easy. Many families have to travel long distances for even the most basic care. To bridge this gap, DPCCT brings healthcare to the people through free medical camps, where they can meet doctors, undergo tests, and receive medicines without cost. Children, elders, expecting mothers, and nursing mothers are given special attention, ensuring care reaches those who need it most.
In March 2024, with the support of RITES Ltd. and in partnership with NIBA Multispecialty Hospital, we organised a ten-day mega health camp. Each day, over 1,200 people came forward for check-ups, consultations, and guidance on nutrition. Beyond treatment, it was about reassurance, awareness, and the comfort of knowing that help was close at hand.
Later that year, the DPCCT Free Mega Health Camp Initiative 2024–25, supported by RITES Ltd. under its CSR programme and conducted with DB Healthcare and Homespital, reached deeper into East Kameng, Keyi Panyor, Papum Pare, and Kra Daadi districts. By March 2025, more than 1,000 patients had benefitted from elderly villagers battling seasonal illnesses to children in need of preventive care.
These camps are more than medical check-ups; they are moments of connection, hope, and healing for communities often left out of the healthcare system.
