About Us
As the world modernizes rapidly, the rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh faces the risk of fading among younger generations. In response, a group of passionate social workers from indigenous communities came together in 2019 to establish the Donyi Polo Cultural & Charitable Trust (DPCCT). Guided by the vision of Er. Katung Wahge, the trust was created to protect, celebrate, and pass on the unique traditions, knowledge, and values of the state.
DPCCT is more than a non-profit—it’s a movement to safeguard culture while uplifting communities. Through workshops, seminars, community programs, and projects, the trust strengthens education, healthcare, and overall well-being for indigenous families.
At the heart of DPCCT’s work is the Gurukul model of Indigenous Education, where children learn academics alongside the traditions, arts, rituals, and values of their communities. These Gurukuls are living spaces where heritage, environmental awareness, and holistic learning come together.

Our Vision
DPCCT envisions a vibrant and progressive Arunachal Pradesh where culturally diverse indigenous communities flourish by preserving and sharing their timeless culture, language, values, and traditions. With a strong focus on the well-being of future generations, the trust is dedicated to fostering a healthy, equitable, responsible, and sustainable world.

Our Mission
Our mission is to work with the indigenous communities of Arunachal Pradesh to preserve and promote their unique cultures. We do this through Gurukuls, cultural festivals, language research, and awareness programs, empowering communities to sustain their heritage while engaging with modern life.

Our Jounery
Recently, due to the interactions among various social groups, the strength of traditional norms and ways of life of the tribes has been weakened. Changes are noticed in their life and socio-cultural practices both in rural and urban areas which are affecting the core of their culture. To overcome such challenges, a group of social engineers and think tanks decided to form a trust namely, Donyi Polo Cultural and Charitable Trust (DPCCT).
